Chinchón
Build runs and sets, go out in time… and call chinchón!
The Spanish-deck classic for 2 to 4 players: draw, discard and meld your 7 cards into runs and sets. Go out before anyone else and don't go over 100 points.
How to play
- Played with the 48-card Spanish deck and 2 jokers (you can remove them). Each player gets 7 cards and one is turned face up: the discard pile.
- On your turn, draw the top card from the deck or the discard pile, then throw one card onto the discard pile. Tap or drag your cards to arrange your hand.
- Melds: runs (3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit, with no wrapping from king to ace) and sets (3 or 4 cards of the same number). A joker replaces any card, but each meld needs at least 2 regular cards.
- Going out: instead of discarding, place a card face down and close the round if the rest is melded with, at most, one loose card worth 5 or less. Going out with everything melded is worth −10 points.
- Chinchón! If you go out with a 7-card run of the same suit without a joker, you win the game instantly.
- When someone goes out, the others lay down their melds and add their loose cards to the melds of whoever went out. Whatever is left loose adds points: each card is worth its number (jack 10, knight 11, king 12) and the joker, 25.
- Whoever goes over 100 points (or 50, if you choose) is eliminated; the last one standing wins. If nobody goes out in 90 turns, the round closes on its own and everyone adds up their loose cards.
