Shikaku
Split the board into rectangles: each number is its area.
Divide the whole board into rectangles. Each one holds exactly one number, and that number says how many cells it covers. Every board has a single solution.
How to play
- Divide the whole board into rectangles (squares count too). Each rectangle holds exactly one number, and that number is its area: a 6 can be 1×6 or 2×3.
- Drag from one corner to the opposite one to draw. Drawing over another rectangle erases it. Tap a rectangle to remove it; tapping a 1 completes it.
- You see the size while you draw. Rectangles that don’t work (no number, several numbers or the wrong size) turn red with stripes.
- Tip: start with the numbers that have few possible shapes, like those against an edge or surrounded by other numbers.
- If you get stuck, buy a hint with Pupicoins (5, 10 or 15 depending on difficulty, H key): it removes a wrong rectangle or places one from the solution, but with hints your time doesn’t count toward your best.
- Easy: 6×6; Medium: 9×9; Hard: 12×12. Keyboard: arrows to move, Space marks the two corners, Delete erases, Z undoes and N starts another board.
Shikaku: online race
Everyone gets the same Shikaku at the same time. The first to finish splitting the board into rectangles, each with its number, wins.
