Tangram
Seven pieces, a thousand shapes: cover the silhouette.
The Chinese seven-piece puzzle: drag, rotate and flip the triangles, the square and the parallelogram until they cover the silhouette. Over 40 figures: animals, people, objects, letters and shapes.
How to play
- Cover the silhouette with the seven pieces: two large triangles, one medium, two small, a square and a parallelogram. You have to use them all, without overlapping or going outside.
- Drag each piece with your finger or mouse. Tap it to rotate it 45°; with two fingers you can also rotate it while dragging. The buttons rotate and flip the selected piece (flipping is only needed for the parallelogram).
- Pieces snap to a fine grid and, if you drop them near a gap where they fit completely, they slot in by themselves. Any way of covering the silhouette counts.
- Keyboard: Tab or 1–7 choose a piece, the arrows move it, Q and E rotate it, F flips it, Z undoes and O tidies up the tray.
- Easy: the pieces already come rotated the right way. Medium: you have to rotate them. Hard: compact shapes and letters, with the pieces tilted 45° and flipped.
- Stuck? Buy a hint (the price is on the button, H key): it puts a piece in place and locks it. With hints there’s no best time. In “Figures” you can pick any figure and see the ones you’ve already completed.
